Myself Upasana Mahanta, currently based on Chicago,US.

I had worked for a management consultancy in India which is one of the management consulting organization for promotion of sustainable livelihoods for the marginalized. Day to day learning and experiences gave me an idea that a lot of our day-to-day lives and much of our decision making is a form of or the result of an analytical process. Daily basis needed to analyze various data, sort out the findings and solutions . How pain this was to be done manually with time constraints and analyzed it using excel, pivot chart and table and Microsoft word. That changed how I looked at numbers and data analysis forever and as I continue down this road as technical way to earn the title of a data scientist I hope to help people make better decisions and impact the world in a positive manner.

Advance learning tools and techniques in data science only to make quickly process and analyze the data and make to think critically about the world around us. This usually means that, and I am grateful for those learning, it is incredibly draining and ultimately unrewarding to think that all of this hard work has ultimately only served to enrich people.
